
Elizabeth L. Martin
Rumney
Elizabeth (Lakschewitz) Martin, 85, formerly of Old Route 25, West Rumney died Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Grafton County Nursing Home, North Haverhill after a long illness.
She was born in Plymouth on September 18, 1923 the daughter of Alfred Lakschewitz and Muriel (Brown) Lakschewitz. She grew up in Plymouth and was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
Upon marrying her husband Henry G. Martin she moved to Quincy, Mass, where she embarked on a life long career in the secretarial field.
In 1967 they bought a piece of property in West Rumney that became their summer retreat and in 1988 became their retirement home.
Elizabeth was a member of the West Rumney Community Church and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW of Rumney. She and her late husband were avid bird watchers.

She was pre-deceased by her husband Henry G. Martin in 2006.

Friends and relatives are invited to a graveside service at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 in the Riverside Cemetery, Fairgrounds Road, Plymouth.
