
Edward P. Lamontagne
Edward Peter “Mountain Man” Lamontagne of Jack’s Way passed away Wednesday morning, October 21, 2009 at his home. He was 78.
Born on September 15, 1931 in Lincoln, NH, he was the son of Henry and Blanche (Goyette) Lamontagne.
A native of Lincoln, at age 13, he and his family moved to Uxbridge, MA.
On Aug 11, 1949 he entered into service of the US Army for the next 3 years during the Korean War; serving in Artillery. He was very proud of his military service, earning the Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Stars. He held membership in the American Legion and the VFW in Uxbridge, MA.
On Nov 8, 1952, he married Doris Mary Gervais in Woonsocket, RI
He retired as a machinist from Whiten Machine Works in Whitinsville, MA
Retiring back to Woodstock, he enjoyed spending time with his children & grandchildren. He was employed by the US Forest Service and also worked for the Hobo Golf Course. He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and was an avid trout fisherman.
He leaves his wife of 56 years Doris of Woodstock.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, Oct 24 at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln . Rev. John MacKenzie will officiate. Burial will be at Woodstock Cemetery at a later date.
Calling hours will be held from 3-7pm Friday, Oct 23 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main St., North Woodstock, NH.
A Memorial Service will also be held a the VFW in Uxbridge, MA at a later date.
