
Edmund K. Fournier
Edmund K. Fournier, 57 of North Woodstock, NH died on May 17, 2009 at his home. Born in Peterborough, NH, February 26, 1952. The son of Raymond L. and Virginia G. (Nutting) Fournier. He was raised in Greenville, NH and was a graduate of Mascenic Regional High School class of 1971. Graduated from New England Institute Class of 1976. Worked as a licensed Funeral Director for over 30 years having practiced in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Florida. Owned and operated Fournier Funeral Homes, Inc. in Plymouth and North Woodstock from 1985 to 1991 and most recently Edmund Fournier Funeral Services in North Woodstock, NH. Mr. Fournier served many community organizations throughout his career including, Lincoln Woodstock Rotary Club where he served three presidencies and received the Paul Harris award and Distinguished Service award from the Woodstock Police Department. Member of Parker Masonic Lodge of North Woodstock. Served on the Board of Directors for the North Country Home, Health and Hospice Littleton and Served on the LinWood Educational Trust Fund Board as well as the Planning Board and Budget Committee for the Town of Woodstock. He was also a member of the American Legion and Sons of the American Legion Post 13 of Greenville, NH. Mr. Fournier was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served Command Fleet Air Western Pacific Misawa Japan, and was a plank owner of Misawa Naval Air Station. Ed enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, grandchildren and friends, fishing, vacationing and serving his community. Survived by wife of 29 years, Jane (Young) Fournier of North Woodstock, three daughters Alison Gordon of Thornton, Heather Dovholuk of Dover, Stephanie Fournier of Portland, ME, his mother, Virginia Fournier of Greenville, a sister, Cindy Keary of North Falmouth, MA, two brothers, Dennis Fournier of New Ipswich and Daryl Fournier of Greenville, 2 grandchildren, Abey Gordon of Thornton and Owen Dovholuk of Dover, an uncle and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 20th from 6 to 9pm at the Fournier Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, North Woodstock, NH. A Mass of Christian Service at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 21st at St. Joseph’s Church, Church St., Lincoln with Reverend John MacKenzie officiating, burial with full military honors to follow at Woodstock Cemetery, Woodstock. Carlton C. Ham will be assisting the family as funeral director and close friend.
