Marguerite A. “Peggy” Ledger of Maple St, died Sunday Morning (November 15, 2009) at Lafayette Center in Franconia, NH. She was 85.
Born on May 20, 1924 in Lincoln, NH, she was the daughter of Martin A. and Margaret S. (Johnson) O’Brien.
Peggy was a graduate of Dow Academy in Franconia and then attended Vermont Nursing School at St. Johnsbury.
On June 15, 1946 she married Wilfred A. Ledger of Lincoln.
In earlier several years, she assisted Dr. Copenhaver of Lincoln with calls to private residences. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Lincoln.
Known for her cooking, Peggy and Wilfred owned and operated the Rail Splitter Restaurant in Lincoln for many years. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo, word puzzles, cribbage games on Sunday at the American Legion and always looked forward to visits from her grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 63 years, Wilfred A. Ledger, Sr. of Lincoln.
2 daughters: Susan A. Ledger and Donna De Simone both of Lincoln.
A son Wilfred A. Ledger, Jr., of Castalina Springs, TN
Grandsons: Ryan Ledger, Matthew Doegnes, Mark, Jeffrey, Christopher, and Patrick De Simone, David & Eric Ledger.
Great-Grandsons: Luke and Christopher Ledger, Hunter De Simone, and Garrett Ledger.

Pre-deceased by brothers John, Martin, and Bud O’Brien and sisters Mary Fobes and Agatha Sherburn.
Calling hours will be held from 7-9pm Tuesday, Nov 17th at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main St, North Woodstock, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Wednesday, Nov 18th at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln. Rev. John MacKenzie will officiate.
A graveside service will be held at 10am Friday, Nov 20th at the family plot at Riverside Cemetery in Lincoln.
