Eleanor Rose Smith

Lincoln, NH

Eleanor R. Smith, a lifelong resident of Maple Street left this world surrounded by her family on Friday afternoon, April 9, 2010 at Speare Memorial Hospital at Plymouth following a long illness. She was 91.

Born on December 13, 1918 in Lincoln, NH, she was the daughter of George and Myra (McManus)McIntyre.

She retired from the Franconia Paper Company in Lincoln.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 83 Lincoln. She enjoyed playing cribbage.

She was pre-deceased by her husband William (Jim) Smith of 49 years, a grandson Robbie Smith, a great-grandson Curtis Muska, a brother John McIntyre and a sister Anna McIntyre Tavano.

She leaves her seven children: Mary L. Symmes of Greenfield, MA, Betty Sylvester & her husband David of Littleton, Robert Smith of Melbourne, FL, Gloria Morin, John & James Smith all of Lincoln, and Anne Lamson Ashland.

19 Grandchildren, 30 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7pm Monday, April 12 at Fournier-Hale Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, North Woodstock, NH.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, April 13 at the family plot at Riverside Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Post 83 American Legion in Lincoln.
