
Marion Rice
Marion “Sweetie” (Greeley) Rice, 90, formerly of North Woodstock, NH and North Attleboro, Mass. died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Lafayette Center Genesis Eldercare, Franconia, NH following a long illness.
She was born in Albany, NY on October 31, 1918 the daughter of Dana and Alleta (Baker) Greeley. Marion grew up in Foxboro, MA and was a 1936 graduate of Foxboro High School. Marion raised her family on Bungy Lake in North Attleboro MA and worked many years at the Foxboro Company, Foxboro, MA. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Foxboro, MA.
In 1983 she and her husband Warren retired to North Woodstock, NH where they helped restore the Woodstock Inn Station and Brewery. Marion owned and operated the former Wash Works Laundromat on Main Street in North Woodstock.
Marion was an avid gardener and loved country music especially Glenn Campbell. Her grandchildren were very special to her.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Warren H. Rice in October 1988 and by her sister, Carolyn Draper.

Granddaughter, Caroline Mourtada and grandson, Jacob Mourtada of Foxboro, MA

Friends and relatives are invited to call from 5 to7 PM on Monday, June 29th at the Edmund K. Fournier Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, North Woodstock, NH. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 30th with the Rev. Ray Bandi, pastor of the New Hope Fellowship, Campton, NH officiating. Committal services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 1st, at the Sheppardsville Cemetery, Kelly Blvd., Plainville, MA.
