Hattie L. Torrey

Hattie Louise Torrey 90 of Rue De Gionet, Lincoln, departed this world peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 10, 2009, at her home. She was Born in Attleboro on October 9, 1918 the daughter of the late Frederick and Ethel (Matthewson) Lander She graduated Attleboro High School. Hattie was a 30-year resident of the Lincoln/Woodstock area having worked happily for many years at the Jack-O-Lantern resort and The Woodstock Inn and Brewery where she hosted daily until her passing. Hattie was the recipient of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association, Employee of the Year Award in 2008.
In Her Life
Hattie will be deeply missed by family in Attleboro, MA and those that loved and cared for her for many years within her community, especially Scott and Peggy Rice, the Keating family, Dolores Reed and Kathleen O'Connor. She was predeceased by her husband Brad Torrey who died in 1982.
Family members include her daughter, Rae Torrey of Wilmington, NC, her granddaughters Paige Sheehan of Concord, NC and Tammy Baker of The Woodlands, TX. Hattie also leaves behind her grandson-in-laws Patrick Sheehan and Matthew Baker and her 3 great grandchildren; Connor Sheehan, Murphy Baker and Tanner Baker.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Edmund Fournier Funeral Home 144 Main St. North Woodstock with a funeral service on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
Calling hours at the Duffey- Poule Funeral Home 20 Peck St. Attleboro, MA will be on Saturday from 10-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth, MA. Donations in her memory may be made to the North Country Center for the Arts - Papermill Theatre, P.O. Box 1060, Lincoln, NH 03251.
