Betty Cheney

Betty Cheney, age 78, passed away Saturday evening, April 24, 2010 at Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith, NH.

Betty was born in Boston, MA. to Frank Lester Cheney and Eleanor Wheeler Cheney of Needham, MA. and Bridgewater N.H. The family moved to New Hampshire in the early 70’s.

Betty lived for a eleven years with Bob and Donna Smith of New Hampton as part of their family.

A homemaker, Betty enjoyed reading the newspaper and discussing politics. She was very patriotic and enjoyed gospel music

She was a member of Life Quest Church in Laconia, the New Hampton Garden Club, and Pemi-Baker Senior Group.

Betty was predeceased by her parents and her brother David.

Survivors include a sister-in-law Betsy Cheney of Rumney, and a nephew, Matthew Cheney of Bridgewater.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, April 30, 2010 at Life Quest Church, 115 Court St, Laconia, NH. Rev Robert H. Smith will officiate.
